Yesterday we had the pleasure of officially presenting our Gift of a Panda Warmer to Northampton General Hospital. These machines are vital to the safety of babies in those first few moments of life in the outside world.

The priorities for Children Are Butterflies have never changed, providing bereaved parents with funeral assistance, and providing and maintaining a “self governing” support structure for those parents along with many other parents who have been through the same trauma. However, thanks to the tremendous support we receive through fund-raising, we have to find ways of using constructively the funds raised in excess of what is required to provide our service. We look for ways in which our money can be spent to help prevent, in any small way, further unnecessary tragedies involving children of any age.

Last year we decided to offer our support to the local hospital’s labour ward by purchasing and donating one of these state of the art machines, putting all the tools in front of the staff to give babies the best possible start in their journey. Hopefully, in some small way, this may help prevent further tragedies.

The hand-over was covered by both the local press and the hospitals press and media centre, such was the interest and the importance of this gift to the hospital, and the care they provide.

Many, many thanks to all our supporters in helping to achieve this, your generosity leaves a valuable legacy. You are amazing! Suggestions of causes we can help in the future are always welcome.
