Fundraising Roundup June 2017

June 2017

There’s been so much going on and some fantastic efforts being made on our behalf. We appreciate it all no matter how large or small, but it is difficult keeping up with it all and we’d so love to mention everybody.

Here’s a little of what our supporters have been up to …

The Co-operative Local Community Fund

The Local Community Fund is how Co-op members and customers can help local causes, simply by shopping. Every time the Co-op members bought selected Co-op branded goods and services 1% goes to a local cause – as does the 5p legal bag charge and a proportion of the sales of reusable bags. Last year we were selected, and were supported by our for local branches in Northampton:

Barry Road
Birchfield Road
Bushland Road
Kingsley Park Terrace

A special thank you to those who have shopped locally and helped the Coop raise this sum for us.

XPO Logistics: England vs The Rest Of The World

Charity Football Match at Sixfields Stadium

The staff of the Daventry depot of XPO Logistics held a charity football match at the Sixfields Stadium in Northampton - the home of course of The Cobblers. XPO have a strong commitment to the regional depots supporting local charities and it was a pleasure to receive the cheque form the Daventry contingent. Their eagerness to help is admirable, both from further fundraising and even down to practical assistance. Children Are Butterflies struck a chord with a number of their team members, it was lovely to meet with them, and talk with them about the work we do and the challenges facing those who have lost a child.

We thank the team for their efforts to date, the sum raised will make such a difference. They have promised further support and we look forward to what's coming next!!

Running For Freddie - Silverstone Half Marathon

Luke Bryans, a long time friend to Children Are Butterflies, decided to run the Silverstone Half Marathon on our behalf in the memory of Freddie. A fantastic personal achievement, a wonderful sum of money raised, and all in the name of a very special boy.

Thank you Luke!

And Luke was the very first customer for one of our custom design Supporters Tee Shirts.
